La Belleza de Catalan   "Catalan's Beauty"

Catalan de Contrafuego  x La Bonita Duquesa   (5/96)

Black 14.2 hand mare.  Belleza has completed 3 months professional training and has been trail ridden extensively (including in the badlands) for the past four years.  She trailers extremely well and is friendly, easy to catch, loves being groomed and stands well for the farrier.  She has a very smooth corto, nice large and very pleasurable canter as well.  She will easily cross all obstacles asked of her including... creek crossings, lakes, downed trees, bridges, mud - you name it!.  Belleza loves to go and will go just as willingly alone as with a group.  She ties for picnics / rest stops without a fuss.  We have ridden her double on occasion and used her lightly as a pony horse as well.  

 

 

Campesina de Ranchochico  "Campy"

Solid Bay 14.2 hand mare.  Campy has been successfully shown in Amateur Owner Pleasure as well as Youth Equitation and Pleasure.  Campy has proven herself a very good broodmare, transmitting the smooth Paso gait as well as intelligence, conformation and brios.  She is easy to settle and a fantastic and patient mother.  Campy trailers extremely well, loves being groomed and stands well for both the vet and farrier.  Campy has one of the fastest largo's we have had the pleasure to ride as well as a smooth corto, and very nice canter as well.  Campy will go ANYWHERE, we have not found anything she will not do.  We challenge you to find something she won't do!  Campy LOVES TO GO and will go just as willingly alone as with a group.  In a group situation Campy is somewhat competitive and does love to be the leader, but with gentle reminders she will ride wherever you put her in the group.  She ties for picnics / rest stops without a fuss.  She is a super traveler having been extensively shown as well as trail riding in the badlands and the numerous parks in the state of Minnesota.  We have ridden her double and used her as a pony horse as well.   While Campesina has proven herself in the show ring she MUCH prefers the trails and family lifestyle to the show circuit.   Campy is only for sale due to her main rider in college at this time.  While she does love to go and needs to be reminded to walk, she can also be taken out of the pasture after over a year's 'layoff' and be ridden bareback with a halter alone.  You will not find a more dependable or hardworking mare anywhere.

Catalan de Contrafuego x Martica La Estrella (5/97)
Quick, compact, well gaited, 14.3 bay gelding out of Startown Stables bred performance mare. He has a small star and loads of common sense, affection and brios. Elegant head and neck with SUPERB PRESENCE!! Brios and hock action to boot come in one nice package with this young man!  Desafio trailer loads and hauls super.  He loves people and is looking for his 'special person'.  Desafio handled the 2006 Minnesota State Fair with all the calmness you could ask for.  Currently is doing fantastic on any trails we put him on and crosses any obstacle we ask of him - including traffic, mud, logs, water and bridges...

Well gaited, 14.2 bay gelding out our foundation stallion Dibujo de Calidad..  Glorioso is a rich solid bay and tries very hard to please his handler as long as he is asked and not 'told'!  Nice solid gelding with common sense.  He has loaded and trailered well for us as well as handling the confusion and noise of the Minnesota State Fair with great aplomb.  Glorioso is doing great on trail riding and has been more than willing to cross obstacles - including traffic, water, mud, logs, bridges...
